Designed to incorporate passive solar principles, this building features reverse block veneer wall construction, high levels of insulation and use of north facing glazing to take advantage of the winter sun. It also utilises solar hot water heating integrated with the design, located over the one of the main entrances. The building houses laboratory facilities, offices and other facilities for workers.
