The client’s brief was for a 2 storey residence comprising of ground floor living and utility rooms, first floor office, bedrooms and bathrooms, a gauzed enclosed swimming pool and integrated landscaping, including a tennis court. The house is designed around a central void space, visually connecting ground floor public spaces, such as the dining and family rooms, with upstairs rooms. The dining room also opens to an external dining area, overlooking the pool. The living areas of the residence outlook landscaped areas and are oriented to receive optimal winter sun.
